			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a title="Queering Sex" href="http://humanresourcesla.com/queeringsex">Queering Sex</a> is a performance and video exhibition that features the work of artists who are dealing with gender and sexuality. This cross-generational, trans-historical video program explores sex and sexuality via ideas and actions related to performance, and thereby highlighting a relationship between performativity and identity. The exhibition includes the participation of over 40 artists from Los Angeles, New York, and abroad.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[TINY CREATURES UNITES WITH A SHOW ENTITLED: BIG DEAL TINY CREATURES DECEMBER 18th, 2010 at DIY GALLERY IN ECHO PARK

In December, Tiny Creatures unites with an overflowing series of shows and performances by over two dozen artists, metier ranging from zines, collage, performance art, found object assemblage, to painting and sculpture in their month residence happenings at DIY's indoor/outdoor gallery in Echo Park. Included are a performance by Venice based grandfather of Californian assemblage George Herms; performances by Mecca Vazie Andrews, Geneva Jacuzzi, and Clouds; puppets and music by Embarrasing powers; and Tiny Creatures artists Andrew Arduini, Tall Paul Gellman, Rachel Detroit Kucsulain, Garrett Cathey, Matt Fishbeck, Ariel Pink Rosenberg and many others. Audience members will be able to build their own tin hats provided by Claire Cronin, to protect from mind control, alien messages, and any other threatening forces; receive a sand reading from Black Powder's leading lady Ivory Lee Carlson; and explore a temporary space within the gallery by Jean Yaste, co-director of Human Ear, San Francisco. Tiny Creatures are artists, writers, editors, students, devolutionists and performers of movement, art and music; influenced by pre-Platonian philosophy, dada, west-coast art and poetry, psychedelia and decadent literature.
